Your Path to Healing

Welcome to Phoenix Counseling & Recovery, where we offer compassionate therapy services for a variety of mental health concerns.  Our experienced therapist is dedicated to providing support and guidance on your journey to wellness.

Welcome to Phoenix Counseling & Recovery

My name is Jeff Zajkowski, a therapist originally from northwest side of Chicago, currently working in Rockford, Illinois area. For the past 18 plus years I have dedicated myself to helping individuals with mental health, addiction and substance abuse issues. I utilize multiple treatment techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy, DBT, client-centered therapy, and psychoanalytic theory. I also have specific training in rapport building, breakthrough techniques and in pinpointing crucial onset events. I work with adults and adolescents.

I try to maintain a personal connection with all the clients with whom I have had the pleasure of working. If you want to talk about a current problem, something that you have recently struggled with or perhaps some issue that has remained unaddressed for years, give me a call. Don’t hesitate to reach out. There is always a way to address a problem no matter how deep-seeded it may be. It may take just one conversation to change your life. Why wait? If not now, when?

Personal history: I have worked in both blue and white-collar job positions. Once a Union Steward for the IBEW in Chicago’s northside representing 80 hard working employees, I know what it’s like to work manual labor outdoors climbing telephone poles weathering the elements for ten years. I also have worked as a Banquet Set-Up Manager in the hospitality industry as well as an After-Market Funds Processor for a major mutual funds firm.

Personal interests: Was a singer, songwriter and front man for Chicago-based rock band.
